Gemma Atkins - Owner and Director
Husband and wife team Dave and Gemma Atkins want to create care homes with a family feel and where people feel valued.
They set up the Orchard Care Group to do just this.
The couple, who have been working together in the care industry for over ten years, established Cherry Tree Care Home with the help of Dave’s mother Helen Atkins.
They have invested in the business and today the home has been extended and finished to a high standard.
In 2017, the couple also bought and refurbished Bay Tree House in a quiet residential area of Wrexham turning it into an exclusive boutique hotel-style nursing home.
Dave and Gemma are passionate about providing the best possible care provision to their residents.
Gaynor Jones - Operations Manager
Gaynor has over 30 years of experience in the care sector having previously worked for a number of large organisations and charities.
Gaynor oversees the daily running of Bay Tree House and also supports the management team at Cherry Tree Care Home.
Like us all, she is passionate about providing the highest standards of care and support to people using the service, families and the staff team.
Finance Manager - Jenny Holland
We are a family business and we were delighted when Jenny, Dave’s sister, joined the business in 2017 as our Finance Manager.
Based at our head office at Bay Tree House, Jenny is the first point of call for financial information and advice, accounts and WCBC residents’ funding.

"My mother went in here in March. The staff are amazing, they never let anyone be on their own and nothing is too much trouble. The food my mother has is great, 3 meals a day and all sorts going on. The rooms are great, everything very clean could not wish for better staff or accommodation for my mother we sisters are very satisfied we would recommend.
